...about the blog. I'm thinking I'll not end it and keep it going on maybe a weekly basis until we start traveling, then make it daily again. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.

Home
We left this morning at 8:30 EDT and arrived here at 2:30 pm. It took 45 minutes to get the RV set up, then Dan and Stefanie came down and we all went to dinner. After catching up on the past 10 weeks, we are now watching TV. I think I'll go to bed early. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and getting back to our country dancing. Now that we are both retired this may be a nightly thing.
This will be our last blog until we travel again in October. Thanks for reading our blog.

Ruffs Dale, PA
We left this morning at 8:30 am CST. Of course, when it rains it pours! One of our front Jacks started making noise last night when we camped and again this morning. When we tried to put it down tonight, not only did we have the noise but it wouldn't go down. Just another expense 😝.
Anyway, we drove 511 miles today and are in Ruffs Dale, PA, Southeast of Pittsburgh and 5 miles from the turnpike. That means we have 330 miles, or 4-3/4 hours of driving tomorrow and we'll be home at Old Cedar Campground.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Effingham, IL
We left Rich Hill (Butler) this morning at 8:45 am after a nice breakfast with John and Bev. 397 miles later we stopped at Camp Lakewood Campground in Effingham, IL. (95 miles east of St Louis and 136 miles West of Indianapolis) We ordered pizza online and are waiting for delivery.
Pizzas here. Gotta eat. See ya!

Butler, MO
We finally got on the road yesterday at 2:50 PM and arrived at Bev and John's at 6:10 PM. John has a beautiful home on 285 acres of land, 43 head of cattle, 5 dogs and 3 horses. Bev made lasagna for us for dinner and we caught up on things. No phone service here or Internet.
Today we had breakfast then took 2 of the horses 39 miles away to an Amish ferrier and had them reshod. He worked for 1-1/2 hours and only charged $45. Then we came back, had lunch and chillaxed. John took me in a cart tour of his property, then everyone but yours truly took a nap.
I set up my drone and when everyone woke up, we flew the drone around their property. We flew at 200 feet and we're 3700 feet away while videoing the property.
We are having BBQ'd t-bone steaks for dinner and then will be getting ready to leave tomorrow for our return trip to NJ.

Claremore, OK
Friday night we went to an upscale Italian restaurant called Mondo's. It had a 4.6 out of 5 rating. Nancy had chicken marsala which she claimed was delicious. I had veal parmigiana. Frankly, I've had better at a diner. Yesterday was a maintenance day, laundry, shopping, etc., and a little driving around town sightseeing. Chinese buffet for dinner.
Today we slept late, bathed the dogs, and drove to Claremore, about 40 minutes from here and spent a few hours visiting the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. For those of you too young to have heard of him, he was a humorist born in 1879, a little more than 1/4 Cherokee, who was the most sought out speaker the nation ever had. He was a cowboy, a trick roper, a movie star, radio personality, newspaper columnist, and a humanitarian who assisted the needy all around the world. He said "I never met a man I didn't like". He met with presidents, common people, and picked on Congress with honesty and humor. "When Congress makes a joke, it's a law. And when they pass a law, it's a joke."
He was also an early advocate of air travel, traveling around the world helping people, and meeting with Kings and Queens (as in royalty 😁 ). It was visiting a part of the world he had never seen, Alaska, in 1935 that along with his one-eyed pilot and childhood friend, Wiley Post, that he lost his life in an airplane crash 2 miles from his destination of Fairbanks.
Friends and family created the museum in honor of Oklahoma's beloved native son.

More Repairs
Freightliner took us in at 7:30, spent an hour and a half diagnosing our problem, and gave us the bad news. They couldn't do the wind guard because that's considered body work and they don't that, but they could do the air conditioner work. They knew what was wrong, and the name of the parts, but not the part numbers, because it came from our motorhome manufacturer (TMH), and there were no numbers on the parts. Fortunately, I knew who to call there to begin the process of finding out. Between voice mail messages and repeat phone calls, we not only got the part numbers but TMH had all but one part in stock and Freightliner had the other. We were able to get the parts overnighted to Freightliner (at almost the same price for shipping as for the parts), and work will commence Monday morning. Yeah, the parts actually arrived! But it's not going to be cheap! Unfortunately, we had to delay our trip to see Bev and John.
